A back injury brought me to Pilates, which ‘woke me up’ in both body and mind, rehabbed the back issue, and led to my Pilates Certification in 2003. Fueled by the desire to watch a body in motion while being able to ‘see’ how the joints and muscles were moving inside I entered Chiropractic school, leaving with an advanced knowledge of anatomy and joint mechanics to open my own Pilates studio in 2007. In addition to teaching private sessions, group reformer classes, group mat classes and Pilates-based cardio and weight training classes, I have taught workshops in anatomy, shoulder mechanics and SI joint mechanics, and have trained and certified several Pilates Instructors. I have independently studied Cranial Sacral Therapy, Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization, Myofascial Release, and Chakra Meditation. From this I have synthesized my Restorative Fitness method.
